Jim Wiles
Jim Wiles  New Zealand Fleet Risk Manager

Having held a number of senior positions with the Ministry of Transport and as managing director of a driver training organisation, Jim was invited to join Lumley in 1998 to establish the Fleet Risk Management division.

Jim’s involvement in the industry has been far-reaching – a key highlight being the implementation of ARM attitudinal training programmes within the NZ transport industry. He is involved in the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport and has served as the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Chairman. Jim is a member of the RTA and sits on various transport industry committees.

With a work history dedicated to the transport industry, Jim is an expert in implementing crash reduction programmes and has a proven track record in assisting clients in reducing costs through the development of safe working practices.

Richard Pottinger
Richard Pottinger  Fleet Risk Manager

With both public and private experience within the transport industry, Richard Pottinger focuses on providing individuals and organisations with the skills required to achieve best practice risk management. His background, which includes 27 years with the Ministry of Transport, has primarily been with education and training and so he is well equipped to assist clients in the implementation of risk management initiatives.

Les Janett
Les Janett  Fleet Risk Manager

Following a distinguished career in the NZ Army, Les has successfully fulfilled key roles as Transport Manager for the XIVth Commonwealth Games, Asian Development Bank meeting, CHOGM and a number of APEC meeting delegations. In addition, he has held senior management roles with Tourism Transport and Nationwide Shuttles. He was also Northern Regional Manager for TRANZQUAL ITO (formerly the Road Transport and Logistics ITO and Operations), and Transport Manager for a number of international and national conferences.

Les offers clients knowledge and expertise based on many years’ experience in transport logistics and the implementation of training plans for heavy vehicle operators.
