Alistair joined Lumley in April 2008 and is responsible for the finance, accounting, treasury and company secretarial functions of the company.

Alistair has worked in many senior financial service roles encompassing senior finance, strategy, operations management and projects, with position in the New Zealand, Australian and UK markets.

Alistair holds a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Waikato. He is also a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Daryl joined Lumley early in 2007 and commenced his current role late 2007. He is responsible for the analytical and reinsurance functions of the company.

Daryl has worked in the insurance industry for 15 years in various finance and strategically focussed roles.

He is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Denise joined Lumley as Head of HR – Leadership and Culture in 2008. Denise has worked in many industry sectors including manufacturing, construction, professional services and communications and media, having over 20 years' experience in HRM roles.

Denise is responsible for providing effective strategic and operational Human Resources systems and processes that ensure optimal organisational performance and support the successful achievement of Lumley business objectives.

Wendy joined Lumley in late 2008 and commenced in her current role as Strategy Risk and Compliance Manager in early 2009.

She is primarily responsible for setting the company’s direction and focus on enterprise risk management, compliance, insurance governance and audit.

Wendy also ensures a corporate approach is taken to strategy execution, securing organisational alignment through all levels of the business. 

She brings considerable experience to her role at Lumley having held previous positions in risk and compliance, change management, insurance governance and audit for large insurance companies both in New Zealand and the UK.

Mike joined Lumley in May 2009, having come from Wesfarmers Insurance in Sydney, Australia. With over 13 years experience in the insurance and banking sectors, Mike is responsible for leading the Lumley New Zealand IT team and developing the strategic direction of information technology and the implementation of appropriate IT policies and practices to support our business objectives.

Mike brings a wealth of experience to his role at Lumley having held previous positions encompassing Strategy and Architecture, Application Development and Operations.

As GM Broker Distribution, Dean is responsible for Lumley's branch network, our Broker partners programme and the Marketing team and ably leads the execution of Lumley Broker's distribution strategies.

Dean has 20 years' insurance experience in both broking and underwriting. Dean has extensive knowledge in Liability underwriting and before his current position he was the Lumley Broker Commercial Insurance and Relationship Manager.

As GM Broker Products, Paul is responsible for leading Lumley's product portfolios as we strengthen our claims and underwriting performance, and execute our business strategies.

Paul has vast experience and knowledge of the insurance industry having worked in both the re-insurance and corporate insurance sectors, and in leadership roles including his previous role as General Manager, Auckland Corporate at Aon.

Paul, along with Dean Edwards manages Lumley's Broker division.

Toni started her career as a lawyer before joining the insurance industry 10 years ago. Since then she has worked in a variety of roles including managing legal and claim recovery functions, working in a senior national sales management role, and joins Lumley from her current role as senior manager of Vero’s Agency and Partnership division. Toni will be joining the Lumley Executive Leadership Team and brings to her role a proven record of values-based leadership, excellent operational skills and strong strategic thinking.
