Associations Liability

Our Associations Liability insurance policy is a combination of Directors or Office Bearers Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance, with one combined limit of indemnity.

Typically, associations that need this type of protection would be charitable trusts, incorporated societies and unincorporated societies.

Directors or Office Bearers Liability Insurance

The individual trustee, director or office bearer has a personal exposure in the event of their committing a wrongful act resulting in a financial loss relating to the management of the association.

  • Should the association provide indemnification to the individual in such event, Lumley will pay the loss on behalf of the association.
  • Should the association not provide indemnification, Lumley will pay the loss on behalf of the individual.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Many associations provide professional services to their members or the general public. Accordingly, the association itself then has an exposure in the event it commits a wrongful act in this capacity that leads to a financial loss. In this case, Lumley will pay the financial loss on behalf of the association.
